Travis~

I am a mobile notary, and was contacted by a Patrick Rathburn to notarize a document for someone who was transferring title to a car to him a couple of weeks ago. I postponed my plans I had that evening to accommodate the time they needed me. He called me 3 times making the time later and later. I was on my way to the location (a rehab center), and 5 minutes before the appointment time, he calls and tells me he is cancelling. I told him he still has to pay the travel fee now, as disclosed on my website. He cost me my time (my entire evening) and my gas. Of course, none of this concerns you... I'm just venting. As you can guess, he has not mailed a check. I'm just curious if this is the same Patrick Rathburn you encountered. Do you know if he was in California (Orange County area)? I'm glad you are among the intelligent that sees right through these "scam-bags"!!

Thanks for your help!

Hey,
I agree that the domain prices are overly priced, but the four day hold period is actually beneficial for some clients because when we hold it while you've logged into your account you have first rights to that domain. We actually go the distance and even call you up if you'd like to get the name. I can see how it is sleezy in a way, but you say you got hosting with NetSol? Remember when you host wit netsol you get your name for free, given that you host for a year. Also people tend to choose netsol because you 100% guaranteed never to loose you domain name to any kind of slip-ups. Also if you have a lot of domain names/products with netsol they will actually allow bargaining of prices, all you got to do is complain about it. No other company allows any kind of bargaining or freedom with regards to a la carte services. Please get your facts straight, I do not like Netsol personally but when i come across stupidity on the net because Americans don't know what anything it gets me upset. God, it is no wonder that your country has such a bad reputation, there's probably just 20% of the population that contributes to technological/biological advancements, other than that its full of idiots that do not know anything about the net.

GREAT WORK TRAVIS!!!!

I was at training for a new business position in MN when hoops became part of the subject matter with a new colleague.

In mentioning my life growing up in South Jersey with strong basketball ties via my father's playing and coaching careers ranging from the Ivy League, Big 5, Baker League, Eastern League, CBA and Woodrow WIlson HIgh in Camden with now legendary Terrapin coach Williams; this complete stranger frrom NOrthern CA asks me if I've ever heard of some guy they call "worldwide wes".

mind you, i'm way out of the NBA loop and follow little college ball beyond Maryland so until i read your article my only recollection of any "wes" albeit not one of worldwide variety was the slick dude who sold me (are you ready for this?) my first pair of shell top adidas at the sneaker spot where my dad "had the hookup for good deals" and one of my favorite places on earth "the pro's shoe". yeah, he sold me a pair of the "3 striped bullshit" but times were different then.

i was a fifth grader on a mission and needed my fix for an ever expanding love for all things hip hop. although on a obviously far less significant level, wes knew exactly shoe for me.

i can actually recall both the lakers victory(billy thompson, milt wagner) and the miami hurricanes national championship(billy's nephew sean eventually received a scholarship for football at miami and i'm fairly certain wes's high school class mate at pennsauken high "greg mark" played defensive tackle that championship year).

why am i rambling on about all of this you may wonder? well, my colleague's mention of your article brought back vivid memories of watching both games with my dad and our sheer surprise in wes from "pro's shoe" getting tv time in the laker's locker room and miami's sideline.

at the time we perceived wes as a well connected enterprising kid who was "everywhere" however everywhere was defined on a much more local level. his ties to the wagner and thompson families were well known however his appearance were still kind of staggering.

and now this article. damn wild stuff seeing a local play his hand to full capacity and rise to the literal top.

i'm grateful that chance put the link to your article in my blackberry. upon reading it, my father who's a tough critic took the time to call and thank me for sending it his way.

he jokingly suggested getting in touch with wes to see if he could reivent his coaching career overseas. we shared a great laugh.

thank you travis!

kirk and stan pawlak

ps as i'm still a staunch "three stripe" fan and customer, i'm a little bitter about wes's comments on that front. i suppose is south jersey charm didn't go over so well with the germans. ha ha ha.

I used to work at NetSol. The people in charge there are total jackasses. Some of their services are top-notch...for example, their eCommerce and Online Marketing products, but they fuck it up by having bad customer service and overcharging for everything. I can't agree with you that GoDaddy is "infinitely better", but GoDaddy IS better for buying domains - which I can see you haved learned the hard way. I'm really sorry to hear you got screwed! :( ...but I'm not at all surprised.

Good luck with everything... :)
